On the morning of October 23rd, the first 16000TEU LNG dual-fuel container vessel "MSC SIENA" built by our group’s Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for the shipowner MSC, departed from the shipyard wharf and delivered to shipowner for operation.

The vessel is a large container vessel equipped with type B LNG fuel tank made of 9Ni steel, with a fuel tank capacity of over 13,000 cubic meters. There are 12 vessels in this series, which measures 366m in length overall, 355.4m in length between perpendiculars，51m in moulded width, 30.2m in moulded depth, design draft of 14.5 m, and scantling draft of 17m. This type of vessel is equipped with energy-saving devices such as shaft generator, air lubrication system, rudder bulb and twisted fins. The dual-fuel main engine utilizes the ECO-EGR optimization method, which not only meets Tier III emission standards but also effectively reduces fuel consumption.

On October 18th, our group held a naming and blessing ceremony for the new vessel together with the shipowner. Ms. Chen Yun named the new vessel "MSC SIENA", cut the string, tossed champagne, sounded the whistle, and signed the new vessel's commemorative plaque together with the captain.

On October 21st, "MSC SIENA" was signed and delivered. The successful completion and delivery of "MSC SIENA" will further consolidate and strengthen our market position in the construction of large container vessels.
